The 2015’s first criminal session is expected to start on
April 19th at a court in Algiers. A total of 140 criminal cases
including 10 terror-related cases will be treated.
The East-West Motorway
case will be the first case. It was postponed last week. A total of 23
people are involved. The session will treat the Sonatrach 1 case on June
7th after it had been postponed as well.
The case of 12 terrorists will be
treated. They have been prosecuted since 2010 accused of belonging to
terrorist groups operating in Algeria and abroad. They were behind
attacks in the Algerian east big desert.
On May 28th, the court
will decided into the case of 34 suspects. Sixteen of them are on the
run and accused of creating a terrorist organization, kidnapping, murder
and putting bombs in a public street and neighboring.
On May 19th, the session will open
the case of 30 people involved in 2010 in cars international smuggling
in the provinces of Batna (east of Algiers) and the capital. A total of
13 suspects are arrested while 14 others are unrested. They 3 include 3
women and 3 men on the run.
